Rockline Industries’ Arkansas Plant Receives State Safety Award

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Rockline Industries’ Springdale, Ark. manufacturing facility continues its exceptional safety record with yet another award fromthe Arkansas Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Division; this time for achieving four million safe working hours.

The award recognizes companies whose employees have accumulated four million work hours without a lost day away from work due to a work-related injury or illness.  In September2013, Rockline was recognized for reaching three million safe work hours in 2013.  

“Achieving yet another safety milestone speaks to the attentiveness of Rockline’s people and the quality of the safety programs we have in place,” said Joel Slank, Rockline general manager.  “The health and safety of our employees is always a top priority for Rockline Industries and our success can be attributed to all of our employees who try every day to emphasize both individual and team safety.”

Contributing to Rockline’s success is the company’s proactive behavioral-based safety program, which trains employees to observe work tasks and to provide immediate safety feedback to those involved. It also trains production team members to serve as safety coordinators who help improve training and communication at a smaller, teachable team level. 

The award was presented by representatives of the state of Arkansas on Tuesday, May 13.
